Learning The Rolling Waves Jig on Low and High D Whistle

In this video I introduce the Rolling Waves Jig. This is also called the Lonesome Jig, Maguire’s March Jig, Maguire’s Kick Jig, among other names.

This jig is a delight to play. It includes an A and a B part. Each of these parts repeats. I have separated the video into chapters so you can go back and watch both the A and B parts as well as return to the Play Along with Scott section where I walk through the entire tune.

In this video I provide an overview for the tune, introduce the tune, mention any difficulties you may encounter, talk about ways to ornament the tune, as well as any history of the tune.
