Learning the Hornpipe, Off to California (Whiskey in a Jar) on D Whistle

In this video I walk us through the hornpipe, Off to California (Whiskey in a Jar).

Remember that hornpipe tunes are not played as written, if you use the music and tabs. Off to California has two parts, and each repeats. In this video I walk through each of these parts. I then play through the entire tune in the Play Along with Scott Section. After this we examine some fun possibilities about the history of this tune. We do know that the tune is from at least the middle of the 19th century.
