Learning the Brosna Slide (Lonesome Road to Dingle) on Low D Whistle

In this video I introduce The Brosna Slide. You’ll also hear it referred to as The Lonesome Road To Dingle.

I’ll walk us through the tune, standing so you can see my fingers. I’ll include a link in the notes for this video so you can download the music and tabs.

After playing the tune we’ll talk about any challenges the tune may present, I’ll share some ornamentation ideas, and then anything we know of the history of the tune.
