Learning Cooley's Reel on Low and High D Whistle

In our time together today I’ll introduce Cooley’s Reel. It was first called The Tulla Reel.

I selected a setting to walk through for us. I introduce the tune in this video, walking through both the A and B parts as well as the entire tune. I then talk about any difficulties I anticipate you might experience, ornaments and expression, and the history of the tune. This is a tune we should all know on our whistles. It’s great fun to play.
