Getting Started
For Both Me and YouHi, friends.
Please check out the video linked to the right.
I’ve been wanting to learn the whistle for myself. However, I know that I will learn better if I surround myself with others who are also learning.
This video represents the start of my journey of learning to play the whistle.
I have played saxophone, and a couple other woodwinds, for a number of decades. I’ve helped a few others learn to play. But this is my first step into learning the whistle.
I have experience teaching, but I also know that helping you will help me.
This may have started off as my low D whistle journey, but it is now our whistle journey.
In this video we look at, holding our whistle, achieving a tone, and playing a few notes.
This may seem simplistic, but we are best starting off by becoming comfortable with these basics.
We will definitely all improve as we make progress together.
Please join my on this exciting journey of learning to play the whistle, for me the low D whistle.
