Fade, A Useful Technique on Tin Whistle

There are many excellent techniques for us to use in playing our whistles. In this video I introduce the fade. This is a gentle exit from a note. It serves to close a phrase in a tune, and in this way is a great step into a transition. The fade can also close the tune itself. It can, in addition, serve to add some emotion to a key moment in a tune. In this way it serves as a musical pause or sigh.
