In this video I introduce and walk us through the hornpipe The Solder’s Joy. I play through the tune slowly, standing, so you can follow along. We talk about possible trouble spots in the tune and I share some ways to learn them well. I share some on ornamentation and expression, and I also share some of the history of the tune.
