Introducing the Hymn What Wondrous Love is This for Low and High D Whistles

Music and Tabs (Play along with Scott)

I introduce the hymn What Wondrous Love is This for our low and high D whistles in this video.

The tune is generally in the key of C major. I transposed it to D so we could play it on our D whistles. If you will play this hymn with other folks, learn what key in which they’ll play it and take the appropriate whistle. Or, you can ask them to transpose it to accommodate your whistle.

This particular hymn does not have a clear history, but its earliest publication was 1811.

Please join me as we learn this great tune on our tin whistles.
